Major earthworks for a bypass
1 September 2015 - Projects update and handover - Germany
Eurovia Germany’s Hanover office has been working since October 2014 on the major Westerode bypass project, in Lower Saxony. 150,000 cu. metres of earth have been moved, of which 45,000 cu. metres have been used as fill material after being treated with lime and cement. A number of other structures have been built: a roundabout to the east of the bypass, several access roads and three rainwater basins. The bypass is due to open to traffic in October 2015.
