Maintenance and refurbishment of trunk roads

Viarom (Eurovia) signed a contract in September 2015 with the highway authority in Iaşi, the country’s fourth-largest town and the economic centre of Moldavia, for the maintenance of the DN24 and DN28 trunk roads. The works currently under way involve planing the old surface and applying a 4 cm-thick wearing course on a 24 kmlong section. Contract value: €1m. This contract comes in addition to those already held by Viarom for the maintenance of roads around Bistrita and Cluj, in the north of the country. Worth €2.4m, these notably call for the deployment, over the summers of 2015 and 2016, of more than a million square metres of cold mix for the routine maintenance of trunk roads and motorways.
