Aéroports de Paris has awarded VINCI Construction France the construction of the “link building” at Orly Airport, by Paris. Being implemented in a joint venture by Chantiers Modernes Construction and Bateg, the project involves the creation of a 250 m-long building with a surface area of some 80,000 sq. metres that will connect the airport’s South and West terminals. The new building was designed using BIM (Building Information Modeling). The works, launched in September, will be completed in 2019. As of November, Soletanche Bachy Pieux (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) will be working at the site, installing the 345 foundation piles of the new edifice.
