In Saint-Denis de La Réunion, the intercommunal community of the north of Reunion Island (CINOR) has awarded SBTPC (VINCI Construction) the construction of the Champ-Fleuri intercommunal aquatic and leisure centre. The company is charged with the shell construction as well as the works packages concerning the steel frame and the roof, watertightness, equipping the changing rooms, toilet facilities, paintwork and façades, and tiling and flexible floor coverings. Cegelec La Réunion (VINCI Energies France), meanwhile, will supply all the works and equipment for the heating, solar production of hot water, water treatment, plumbing / sanitation and ventilation, and has won the lifts contract. With a surface area of 9,400 sq. metres, the aquatic centre will boast 1,235 sq. metres of pool areas, 3,000 sq. metres of turfed, open-air mineral sunbathing facilities, a sauna / hammam and a sports hall.
The works, lasting 19 months, start in February 2013. Total project value: €20m, of which €11.1m for SBTPC and €3m for Cegelec La Réunion.
