Installing noise barriers
1 January 2017 - New contracts - Germany
As part of the federal government’s noise reduction programme for the German rail network, the Teco Schallschutz office of Eurovia Germany has been appointed to create nine noise barriers (height: 2 - 3 m; length: 6.6 km) at Bottrop (North Rhine-Westphalia).
Once installed, the highly absorbent aluminium panels will protect the occupants of 1,250 homes located near the railway tracks from noise pollution. The works will be completed in April 2017.
Value of the works: €7.8m.
