Infrastructure for a shopping centre

Soletanche Bachy Fundatii (Soletanche Freyssinet/ VINCI Construction) has just signed a contract to supply the infrastructure for the new Park Lake Plaza shopping centre in Bucharest. With a surface area of 70,000 sq. metres, this development will accommodate some 200 shops and provide 2,600 basement parking spaces. Soletanche Bachy Fundatii is charged with designing and supplying the earthworks (450,000 cu. metres), decontamination works (3,000 cu. metres), diaphragm walls and slurry walls (17,000 sq. metres), tie rods and diagonal rods, as well as lowering the groundwater level (50,000 sq. metres).
Worth a total of €5.5m, the works will take six to eight months.
