Inauguration of the Caserne Filley in Nice

The Filley barracks building in Nice (south of France), which annually welcomes 10,000 young people to a Defence and Citizenship Day (formerly Defence Preparation Day), was inaugurated on 2 October 2019 in the presence of numerous civilian and military guests.

Launched in March 2016, the designbuild works, undertaken by Triverio Construction (VINCI Construction France), involved asbestos removal, demolition works, underpinning, restoration of the framework and roof, restoration of the façades, technical and finishing works, extending the building, earthworks, shallow foundations, the structural works and the envelope.
