This is a Blue Fabric project, i.e. based on VINCI Construction France’s comprehensively sustainable construction strategy, HEQ-certified since 2012.
22 December 2016 - Events - France
On 22 December 2016, French president François Hollande inaugurated the new hospital in Chambéry (south-east France) in the presence, notably, of Michel Dantin, the city’s mayor.
The building was created on a design-build basis, in a single construction phase, by GTM Bâtiment et Génie Civil Lyon and Dumez Rhône-Alpes (both VINCI Construction France). With a surface area of 73,000 sq. metres, the hospital provides 671 beds, 80% of them in single rooms. It also boasts an 800 sq. metre helipad, 3,500 sq. metres of technical facilities and a 277-space underground car park.
Total value of the works: €230m.
