Warbud (VINCI Construction), in a consortium with Hochtief Polska and Hochtief Solutions AG, has just secured the contract to build the World War II Museum in Gdansk, in Poland. Providing a total surface area of 58,000 sq. metres, the building’s 6 underground levels and 7 storeys will accommodate the exhibition and conference rooms, a cinema, a library and archive areas.
Soletanche Polska (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) carried out the excavation works for the building in 2012 and is currently pouring the concrete of the raft foundation (25,000 cu. metres, using the immersed concrete technique).
Total value of the works for the Group: €43 million.
