Geothermal project in Bagneux

In November 2014, in the heart of Bagneux, by Paris, Entrepose Drilling (Entrepose Group) began drilling two 2,000 m-deep geothermal wells – an operation due to take three months. The aim is to reach a layer of hot water that will be used to feed a geothermal power plant linked to a heat exchanger (total capacity: 13 MW). This installation will ultimately supply heat to some 9,500 home equivalents and save an annual 15,000 t in CO2 emissions.
