Geothermal energy infrastructure
1 October 2015 - Projects update and handover - France
Entrepose Drilling (VINCI Construction) completed work on a new geothermal doublet in Tremblay-en-France, by Paris, in late August 2015. Comprising two boreholes, one for extraction, the other for reinjection, it will draw heat from the groundwater below, enabling some twenty further buildings to be connected to the geothermal network already supplying heating to 4,300 homes in the town centre. In the Val-de-Marne department, meanwhile, Entrepose Drilling has been appointed to rehabilitate the geothermal wells of the SEMBACH, the public body managing and operating the largest geothermal network in Europe, which supplies the towns of Chevilly-Larue, L’Haÿ-les-Roses and Villejuif.
