Foundations for Downtown Santa Fe tower
1 September 2015 - Projects update and handover - Mexico
In the business neighbourhood of Santa Fe, in the west of Mexico, late June 2015 saw Cimesa (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) handing over the foundations and the 14 underground levels of the Downtown Santa Fe office block. The project required the excavation of 210,000 cu. metres of material, making way for 71,383 sq. metres of underground space (2,300 parking spaces). The technique used involved building a cylindrical retaining wall in reinforced shotcrete, 80 m in diameter and 40 m in depth.
