Foundation stone laid at Dushanbe Airport

The official ceremony launching the construction of the new passenger terminal at Dushanbe International Airport, by a joint venture between VINCI Construction Grands Projets and VINCI Airports took place on 19 March 2013.

150 people, including 130 Tajikistanis, are currently working on the project. The foundation works are under way and the steel structure arrived on site in April 2013. Handover of the building is scheduled for late 2014. With a surface area of 11,000 sq. metres, the new terminal will be able to handle 1.5 million passengers a year. It will support the airport’s rapid development, ensuring passengers and airlines enjoy the highest quality of service, in line with international standards.
