First destruction of a structure on the A9

In the night from 28 to 29 September, in Saint-Jean- de-Védas (south of France), all parts of the bridge on the RD 612 spanning the carriageways of the A9 motorway (VINCI Autoroutes) were dismantled. Once the rubble had been removed and the lanes cleaned up, the whole motorway was re-opened to traffic. This destruction marks the start of works in preparation for the widening of the motorway to 4x3 lanes. A new structure will replace the destroyed bridge.
