Fire protection for an industrial line

Cegelec Fire Solutions (VINCI Energies Europe) has won a contract for the installation of the automatic sprinkler-based fire-extinguishing system for the new painting line at industrial vehicle manufacturer DAF Trucks’ plant in Westerlo, to the south-east of Antwerp. This contract covers supplying and installing some 6,000 sprinklers and 13 control posts, as well as a foam-based extinguishing system for areas where solvents are stored and for mixing zones. The works start in June 2016 and will continue through till mid-2017.
Contract value: €1.4m.
