During the autumn school holiday, the VINCI Autoroutes Foundation for responsible driving staged an awareness-raising campaign about the risks of drowsiness at the wheel. Over two weekends, between 10pm and 6am, VINCI Autoroutes employees handed out more than 5,000 coffees to drivers at some of the network’s rest areas. Customers were also able to have a rest in “siesta areas”, test their level of alertness using the mobile phone app “Roulez éveillé” (Awake at the wheel), and receive advice from INSV doctors (Institute for Sleep and Vigilance).
