Extending a power station

Sogea Maroc (VINCI Construction International Network) is currently carrying out the external works on the national electricity and drinking water office’s project to extend the power station in Laâyoune, in the south of Morocco. The company was also charged with the civil engineering, the structural works and the creation of the steel frame.
Still to be done, between now and completion of the works in August 2016: the landscaping, and the architectural and technical works – to be undertaken, as regards the electrical works, the air conditioning, plumbing, telephone and IT facilities, in partnership with Cegelec Maroc and Actemium Process Industriel Maroc (VINCI Energies International & Systems).
Extending this power station will make it possible to meet increased demand and to enhance the stability of the network in southern Morocco. Value of the works: €11m for Sogea Maroc and €1.5m for VINCI Energies.
