Developing an eco-neighbourhood
16 February 2012 - New contracts - France
In Montpellier (south of France), teams from Eurovia’s Juvignac office, in collaboration with Fougasse TP (VINCI Construction France), began installation- of-services works in January 2012 at the Pierres Vives integrated development zone, an eco-neighbourhood that will be developed around the new Departmental Archives, a building designed by architect Zaha Hadid and built by Sogea Sud (lead contractor), GTM Sud and Dumez Sud, all subsidiaries of VINCI Construction France.
14,000 sq. metres of concrete and natural stone slabs and 12 km of kerbstones in natural stone are due to be installed, as well as 880 lm of steps, composed of 650 elements in prefabricated concrete. The Place Pierres Vives square will sport 14 wood/metal sunshades, providing shade over a surface area of 630 sq. metres. Value of the works: 9 million euros (of which 6.8 million euros for Eurovia and €1.3m for Fougasse TP).
