VINCI Construction Grands Projets has signed a €60 million contract with the company Akal Megah Sdn Bhd for the design-build of an office block in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of the state of Sabah, in the north of the island of Borneo (Malaysia).This contract includes the design and construction of a 4-level car park, a 3-storey “podium” for shops and a 10-storey office block, i.e. a total surface area of 65,000 sq. metres. The works began on 1st August 2013, with handover scheduled for 31 March 2015.

Coming after the Berjaya Times Square, in Kuala Lumpur, the biggest residential and commercial complex (700,000 sq. metres) ever built in one go in Asia, delivered in 2003, and the Berjaya Central Park (185,000 sq. metres), currently under construction, this latest success serves to reinforce the presence of VINCI Construction Grands Projets in Malaysia.
