Demolition of a bridge on the A63

In the night from 22 to 23 February 2012, Delair CFD (VINCI Construction France), on behalf of ASF’s infrastructure construction and maintenance department (VINCI Autoroutes), used 500 kg of explosives to blow up a bridge spanning the A63 in the commune of Tarnos (south-west France). 600 cu. metres of rubble then had to be cleared from the carriageway. The project aimed at upgrading and widening an 18 km stretch of the A63 between Ondres and Biarritz is being implemented by a consortium notably comprising Eurovia and VINCI ConstructionTerrassement and Dodin Campenon Bernard (both VINCI Construction subsidiaries).
