Creating a wind farm

Omexom Indonesia (VINCI Energies International and Systems) has secured a contract with UPC Renewables for the creation of the country’s first wind farm: Sidrap, located on the island of Sulawesi.

The contract covers design and planning, supply of the equipment and the construction of the entire electrical network linking the 30 turbines to the transformer station, the high-voltage substation and a 150kV transmission line linking up with the country’s national grid. Estimated time to completion of the project: 11 months.
Contract value: €10.6m.
