Control room for 5,000 km of roads

Cegelec Mobility (VINCI Energies GSS) has developed a new control room, Itinisère, for the road authorities in the Isère department (south-east France). Located in Grenoble, it is equipped with 20 virtual display units and an 18 sq. metre monitor wall. With 80 variable message panels, 150 vehicle counters and 50 cameras, it can supervise 5,000 km of departmental roads and manage traffic disruption situations in real time. Itinisère also monitors salting and snow clearance operations, and plans diversions when traffic is likely to be restricted (works, sporting events, etc.).
