Construction of a water treatment plant

In the west of the country, Sogea-Satom (VINCI Construction International Network) is currently implementing, on behalf of the national water and drainage office (ONEA), Phase 2 of the construction of the Ziga water treatment plant.
The works, being undertaken in a joint venture with Degrémont (Suez Group), involve doubling the capacity of the existing installation (over 7,500 cu. metres/h) to supply the city of Ouagadougou, and building a pumping station with a capacity of 5,000 cu. metres/h. ONEA had already awarded the first phase of the project to the joint venture; and Sogea-Satom participated in the construction of the Ziga dam.
The value of this operation, financed by the European Investment Bank, is €37.6m, of which €19.3m for Sogea-Satom; completion of the works is scheduled for March 2017.
