Construction of a viaduct

Since June 2015, a consortium notably comprising Eurovia Béton, leader, has been working, on behalf of the General Council of the Vendée department (west of France), on the construction of a viaduct aimed at improving the department’s transport links. Located between Bournezeau and Chantonnay, this 190 m-long structure will be the second-longest bridge in the department (after the Noirmoutier Bridge). It comprises two 11 m-wide juxtaposed decks, each carrying two traffic lanes. This project requires the deployment of 5,500 cu. metres of concrete and 2,200 t of steel. Handover is scheduled for December 2016.
