Construction of a maritime hub in New Zealand
4 November 2016 - Projects update and handover - New-Zealand
HEB Construction (VINCI Construction International Network) has started work at the site of the future maritime hub in Tauranga, in the Bay of Plenty, in the north of New Zealand.
The company is charged with the preparatory civil engineering works, which will last 11 months. These notably involve earthworks, demolition of the existing slipway, the installation of sheet piles and bored piles and the construction of a quay (length: 32 m; width: 10 m), and the creation of a water treatment plant.
This new maritime neighbourhood will provide service installations dedicated to the maritime activities at Sulphur Point.
