Cavaletade power plant

The city of Toulouse (south-west France) has appointed a consortium including Soletanche Bachy France, a Soletanche Freyssinet subsidiary (VINCI Construction), to supply the civil engineering for the future Cavaletade hydroelectric plant. The project involves creating a hydroelectric power station and a fish-ladder between an upper and a lower branch of the Garonne. Soletanche Bachy France is charged with the construction of a channel with diaphragm walls, and grouting-reinforced dikes upstream and downstream.
The works start in spring 2013. Contract value for Soletanche Bachy: €1m.
