Boutlelis power station

Sonelgaz, Algeria's national electricity production company, has awarded the contract to build the Boutlelis power station to a consortium composed of General Electric and Cegelec Energy (VINCI Energies GSS). Located 35 km to the west of Oran, this power station will be equipped with two open-cycle gas turbines and have a production capacity of 445 MW. The turbines will be supplied by General Electric. Cegelec Energy will, for its part, be responsible for all the design work, the balance of plant, supervising the civil engineering, all the assembly works and the link-up to the grid. The instrumentation and controls will be entrusted to Cegelec Control Systems & Services (VINCI Energies GSS). Commissioning is scheduled for August 2014.
Contract value: €228m (of which €115m for Cegelec Energy).
