28 May 2013 - Projects update and handover - France

The foundation stone for the new 42,052-seater stadium in Bordeaux (west of France) was laid on 15 April 2013, in the presence, notably, of the city’s mayor, Alain Juppé. The VINCI Concessions-Fayat joint venture is charged, within the framework of a partnership contract, with the design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance for 30 years of the new facility. Total investment cost is €219m, of which €166m for the works, which will be entrusted to a consortium of companies led by GTM Bâtiment Aquitaine-Limousin (VINCI Construction France). The upkeep and maintenance of the stadium will then be supplied by VINCI Facilities (VINCI Energies). The multi-purpose venue will be handed over in spring 2015, and will host Euro 2016 football matches.
