BSG Construction Malaysia, a Soletanche Freyssinet subsidiary (VINCI Construction), has just secured two contracts for the construction, on a general contracting basis, of the substructure of a very large commercial complex featuring an Ikea store and a shopping centre in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. BSG Construction Malaysia is charged with creating a 1,325 lm-long peripheral retaining wall, 700,000 cu. metres of earthworks and supplying the raft (92,000 sq. metres), as well as special works (piles, micro-piles, tie rods, waterproofing injections, treatment of the rock and filling in karstic cavities). The company will be deploying an innovative solution on this project, involving prefabricated piles.
Worth a total of €56m, the works will take 14 months.
