16 November 2015 - Events - France

VINCI shares the grief of the families of the victims of the attacks in Paris on Friday 13 November 2015. The Group lost a colleague that evening, Franck Pitiot, aged 33, who was a works engineer at MCCF, a subsidiary of Soletanche Bachy. A VINCI Facilities employee was also seriously injured. VINCI extends its deepest sympathy to Franck’s family and friends, to those who were injured and to their families and friends, to all who have lost a loved one. These attacks remind us that French interests are under threat both at home and abroad. This threat makes it essential that we totally comply with instructions concerning increased vigilance and with the specific recommendations of the Group’s Safety department and of French embassies and consulates, of local authorities and of our customers, in both the private and public sectors. We must also ensure that our service providers, our subcontractors and co-contractors follow such instructions and advice just as strictly, at operating sites, on worksites and while travelling. Finally, in these particularly painful circumstances, our first duty must now, more than ever, be to further reinforce the spirit of solidarity and cohesion that characterises our companies.
