Asbestos removal and demolition at paper mill

In the Vosges, Cardem Metz (Eurovia), on behalf of the EPFL (public land-management institution in Lorraine), is undertaking asbestos removal works and the partial demolition of the former Docelles paper mill (a 20,000 sq. metre site, some 5,300 sq. metres of it built on). Having secured the site, teams are now removing asbestos from the roof, and from the lagging and the false ceiling panels. The partial demolition being carried out in parallel involves some 3,000 t of rubble stone (pink Vosges sandstone) and 5,000 t of concrete. The works are expected to take until May 2015.
