An aquatic leisure complex for Reims
21 December 2017 - New contracts - France
Developed by Adim Est (VINCI Construction France), the new aquatic complex in Reims (north-east France) will be built by GTM Hallé (leader), Sogea Picardie and Sotram, three VINCI Construction France subsidiaries.
Designed by architect Marc Mimram, this complex boasts some very original architecture, with its undulating roof covering the indoor pools in a single sweep, and the positioning of the main swimming pool, which rests on a base accommodating retail outlets, sports facilities and a co-working space. The adaptable outside spaces will be reorganised to suit each season and its associated activities.
On the environmental front, 70% of the energy resulting from the cold production for the skating rinks will be recycled to heat the main pool; the heat and energy consumed, meanwhile, will, thanks to the installation of exchangers and solar panels, produce 40% of the domestic hot water.
The works are due for completion in 2020.
