2017 BIM d'Or awards: Triple win for VINCI Construction

Two VINCI Construction France subsidiaries, and VINCI Construction Grands Projets, have won 2017 BIM d’Or awards.
The winning submissions: - Sogea Bretagne won the prize in the “operations and maintenance” category with Lasem (a Navy lab that conducts analyses for surveillance and evaluation purposes) in Brest. Working with VINCI Energies, the teams succeeded in combining the opening possibilities offered by the BIM with the technical asset management software used by the Defence infrastructure department.
- Bateg won the prize in the “new projects over 40,000 sq. metres” category with the Saint-Gobain building in La Défense, where it used a BIM system to generate a digital as-built file containing the virtual mock-up, construction plans and several of the technical fact sheets, and which will be used for maintenance henceforth.
- VINCI Construction Grands Projets won the prize in the “building projects outside France” category for its renovation and extension work on Santiago de Chile’s international airport, where the use of a BIM system facilitates a larger collaboration during the construction phase and is aimed at supports the concession consortium (VINCI Airports, ADP and Astaldi) during the operation phase.
