The new business terminal at Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne Airport, operated by VINCI Airports, was opened on 18 December in the presence, notably, of Olivier Bianchi, Mayor of Clermont-Ferrand and President of the urban community of Clermont, and of Nicolas Notebaert, Chairman of VINCI Airports.

The final winners. With more than 2,200 projects submitted by almost 5,600 participants, the VINCI 2015 Innovation Awards competition has confirmed the creativity and spirit of initiative of the Group's employees. After the 131 prizes awarded in the regional ceremonies, 14 were distinguished in the final awards ceremony on 10 December in Paris. Among them, a new development in 2015: the "2020 Climate Challenge" Prize, awarded after an open competition addressed to students all over the world.

Together with its partners ADP and Astaldi, VINCI officially won the concession contract for the Santiago de Chile airport on 21 April of this year and began operation on 1 October 2015. The construction of a new terminal building, to be carried out over the next five years, will double the airport’s capacity.

In October, Sogea Réunion, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction Dom-Tom, handed over the wastewater treatment plant in the commune of Saint-Joseph, on Reunion Island.

As of 5 November, VINCI Park changed its name to Indigo, thus continuing a transformation process begun in 2014 with the opening up of its capital.

VINCI will be presenting its innovations for transport and mobility at the 22nd Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress and Exhibition.

On 14 September 2015, VINCI joined two of the most respected non-financial indices: the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe.

Bachy Soletanche Vietnam (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) completed the works on the foundations for the Landmark 81 tower in Ho Chi-minh City (Vietnam) on 11 September.

Axians is the VINCI Energies brand devoted to information and communication technologies. It brings together all the business line’s networks specialising in IT solutions and services. Launched at the end of March 2015, the “new” Axians brand is a major international player in this market, which has huge growth potential, particularly in such segments as the Cloud, Big Data and mobility, working in synergy with other VINCI Energies brands and activities.

Launched in 2008 by Emmaüs Défi, the Convergence project supports and brings back into employment people previously living in the streets. VINCI is participating in this effort, employing people supported by the association in its companies.

Every two years, the Innovation Awards competition invites all VINCI employees to present their most innovative hands-on initiatives, with the idea of using them on the ground and speeding up their dissemination throughout the Group. In 2015, this in-house competition open to all employees includes a "2O20 Climate Challenge", open to all students. On Thursday, June 25, the students pitch their projects to the Jury, in order to prepare the final.

On 15 June 2015, the Alfred Sisley junior high school in Île-Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis), sponsored by VINCI, was awarded the Île-de-France Jury Prize in the "Ma caméra chez les pros" competition by Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, Minister of Education, Higher Education and Research. A closer look at this programme - which VINCI has been partnering since 2012 – whereby young people in the last year of junior high take their camcorder into the workplace to meet the professionals.

Since April 2015, teams from Freyssinet (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) have been installing the 176 stay cables of the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge in Istanbul (Turkey).

The new stadium in Bordeaux, built under a public-private partnership arrangement, was officially opened on Monday, 18 May 2015. On 7 February 2015, French President François Hollande and Pierre Coppey, Chief Operating Officer of VINCI and Chairman of VINCI Autoroutes, formally opened the Saint-Germain-les-Vergnes - Saint-Pardoux l’Ortigier section of motorway in the Corrèze department (central France).

In 900 days, when the SEA Tours-Bordeaux high-speed rail line begins operating at the end of July 2017, the trip between Paris and Bordeaux will take only two hours and five minutes (while it takes 3 hours today). Track laying and railway equipment installation are under way and the railway offering is being sketched out.

The geotechnical and mechanical characteristics of soils change over time. MENARD (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) carried out ground improvement works for the I-29/US 275/IA92 interchange renovation project in the US state of Iowa. Menard installed 14,000 controlled modulus columns, one of many processes applied on a broad scale.
