The bypass around Regina, capital of the Province of Saskatchewan in Canada, was officially opened today in the presence of Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe, Xavier Huillard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of VINCI, Pierre Anjolras, Chairman of Eurovia and Nicolas Notebaert, Chief Executive Officer of VINCI Concessions.

VINCI Construction, via its subsidiary Bessac and in a general partnership with the Canadian Pomerleau company, has won a contract to build new pipelines for the Annacis Island wastewater treatment plant near Vancouver.

Today, VINCI Airports completed the acquisition of a majority shareholding (50.01%) in London Gatwick airport, a freehold property and the UK’s second-largest airport. London Gatwick airport is an asset with substantial growth potential and the transaction fits perfectly into the VINCI Concessions long-term investment strategy.

The city of Ottawa has selected East West Connectors, a joint venture led by Kiewit (60%) and VINCI (40%) through its subsidiaries Eurovia, VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Dodin Campenon Bernard, to build the extension to the Confederation Line, one of the two lines in Stage 2 of Ottawa’s O-Train light rail transit (LRT) system.

The consortium consisting of VINCI Construction Grands Projets (50% share and lead contractor) and Acciona Agua S.A. (50%) won the contract for the design-build portion of phase 1 for the Nhieu Loc-Thi Nghe wastewater treatment plant, in Ho Chi Minh City.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland, the state agency in charge of roads and railways infrastructure in the Republic of Ireland, just signed an 11-year contract with Turas, a joint-venture comprising VINCI Highways, subsidiary of VINCI Concessions, and Abtran, the largest Irish-owned business process management provider, to manage freeflow transactions services and customer relations on the Dublin ring road (M50 motorway).

VINCI’s Combined Shareholders’ General Meeting, chaired by Xavier Huillard, the Group’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, was held on 17 April 2019 at the Salle Pleyel in Paris. The quorum was 62,027% and the shareholders’ meeting approved all the resolutions submitted.

In the context of the upcoming acquisition by its subsidiary VINCI Airports of a 50.01% shareholding in London Gatwick Airport, VINCI has successfully issued a £800 million bond, divided between a £400 million bond maturing in March 2027 and carrying an annual coupon of 2.25%, and a £400 million bond maturing in September 2034 and carrying an annual coupon of 2.75%.

Carmacks, a subsidiary of Eurovia, one of the world’s leading players in transport infrastructure construction and urban development, has won the maintenance contract for the Deerfoot Trail in Calgary, Alberta.

The Governor of the State of Virginia in the United States has announced it has selected the joint venture comprising VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Dodin Campenon Bernard, both VINCI Construction subsidiaries (33%), Dragados USA (42%) and Flatiron (25%), for the contract of extending and upgrading the I-64 between Hampton and Norfolk, worth €2.9 billion ($3.3 billion). The contract is expected to be executed in April 2019 with construction expected to conclude in 2025.

ASF (Autoroutes du Sud de la France) has successfully issued a €1 billion bond due to mature in February 2031 and carrying an annual coupon of 1.375 %.
