VINCI acquires French cloud builder APX Intégration

VINCI Energies recently reached an agreement to acquire the APX Intégration company, a leading French cloud builder. APX Intégration delivers turnkey IT solutions in the areas of storage, servers, networks and virtualisation. The company employs 360 people and generated revenue of €130 million in 2014.

This acquisition, which remains subject to the approval of the French competition authority, will expand the French market position of Axians, the VINCI Energies ICT (information and communication technologies) brand, notably in the rapidly growing cloud and data center segments. Axians currently generates revenue of €1.6 billion in 15 countries and employs 7,000 people.

“This acquisition is an effective addition to Axians’ cloud and data center expertise. APX Intégration’s diversified client portfolio (SMEs, large companies, public sector) and ecosystem of major technology partners will be very helpful in driving the expansion of Axians,” said VINCI Energies Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Yves Meignié.

VINCI Energies, one of the 3 business lines within VINCI’s Contracting business, operates in some 50 countries, including about 30 outside Europe. It employs 63,000 people and generated revenue of €9.3 in 2014. VINCI Energies, made up of a dense network of 1,500 business units, is a leading provider of energy and information technology services in Europe and the rest of the world.
